2026 Conference: Free Speech and Its Critics

The annual conference of NOMOS: The American Society for Political and Legal Philosophy, on Free Speech and Its Critics, will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026. It will be a hybrid event, with an in-person conference hosted by the Karsh Center for Law and Democracy and the Center for Law & Philosophy at the University of Virginia School of Law together with a Zoom meeting. 

Daniel Wodak, who is NOMOS editor, has organized the following program:

Become a Member of NOMOS

If you are not already a member of NOMOS, we encourage you to join. All who become a member by October 1 will receive NOMOS LXVIII Climate Change and NOMOS LVIII: Structural Injustice (the volumes growing out of our recent conferences). Only $50 per year for regular members and a mere $20 for graduate students and emeritus/a members.
